Eyecare experts in Croydon borough are toasting more than 200 years of service to the community.

Together, the 21 team members from Specsavers in Croydon North End and Church Street have 233 years of experience with the high street opticians, averaging an impressive 11 years each.

A word from the store director

Bill Pennell, director of Specsavers in Croydon North End and Church Street, said: ‘Four members of our team have been with us for more than 15 years, 11 for more than ten years and six for more than five.

‘That says a lot about our dedication and commitment, and about our ethos as a team. Not only do we have a technically experienced team, but one which has built a long-standing relationship with our community here in Croydon.

‘We’re always striving to offer the best service to our customers, and fostering strong relationships plays a vital role in this.’
