An opticians in Motherwell marked 15 years of looking after the eyesight of local people with a day of celebration for staff and customers.

The Specsavers store in Brandon Parade South celebrated its decade-and-a-half with a cake and birthday party in store and customers were delighted to share in the anniversary fun.

A word from our store director

Ian Moss, store director at Specsavers in Motherwell, said: ‘We’re very proud to have had such a successful 15 years in the community. ‘Our longevity is undoubtedly down to teamwork.

We have a fantastic group of people working at the store and our success is testament to the quality and dedication of our staff. ‘We’ve met a lot of fantastic families along the way and we love being at the heart of the community.’

Charity support

Specsavers in Motherwell supports local charities throughout the year and members of staff at the store have recently completed a dementia friendly qualification in association with Alzheimer Scotland.

Ian added: ‘Everyone in the store is passionate about the surrounding community and we get involved in activities wherever we can. We hope to be able to continue the service we provide to the people of Motherwell for many more years to come.’
