Specsavers on Cardiff Queen Street has renewed its sponsorship of Glamorgan County Cricket Club, once again making it the official eyecare provider for the club.
Specsavers’ sponsorship of Glamorgan Country Cricket Club sees the optician provide support for the club through specialist sports vision assessments for players, as well as helping players, coaches and staff with their optical needs.
The Cardiff store’s ongoing support coincides with a continuation of the partnership between Specsavers and other cricketing bodies, as in February 2016 the England and Wales Cricket Board announced Specsavers as the new title sponsor of the County Championship in a new four-year deal.
'Regular sight tests'
Frank Moloney, clinical partner at Specsavers Queen Street, said: ‘As a community optician, we always encourage people to keep healthy in every sense and that makes our relationship with Glamorgan Cricket a natural fit. Looking after your vision is vital, particularly for professional sportsmen and women, so having regular sight tests to ensure your eyes are as healthy as they can be is something we want to encourage both Glamorgan players and fans alike to be aware of.
‘It is brilliant to further extend our relationship with the club again this year, and as a result we are offering club members a complimentary full eye examination and 25% off a pair of glasses in our Cardiff and Penarth stores. To make the most of the offer, just show your association with the club to a member of Specsavers staff at the store.’
