Specsavers in Cardiff has raised almost £250 for the Guide Dogs charity by hosting a fundraising event in store.

Staff from the Queen Street store raised funds by hosting a cake sale, selling Guide Dogs pin badges and collecting donations for the Guide Dogs collection buckets.

‘Wonderful charity’

James Deavall, director of Specsavers in Cardiff, said: ‘I’m delighted that we’ve been able to raise £243 for Guide Dogs. At Specsavers we always aim to support customers with visual impairments, so the opportunity to fundraise for this wonderful charity, which provides invaluable help to blind and partially sighted individuals, is something we were keen to do.

‘I would like to take this opportunity to thank the local community for their support, without which, we wouldn’t be able to make this important donation.’
