Staff at Specsavers on Queen Street, Cardiff, attended a wellbeing event to promote the importance of looking after your eye and ear health.

Specsavers optometrist, Justine Davies, attended the event hosted by the Care Council for Wales.

Good eye health habits

Justine attended with a hearing screener, gave out vouchers for free eye tests and answered staff’s questions about Specsavers services and general optical and audiology health.

‘The importance of regular tests’

Justine Davies, Specsavers’ optometrist, said: ‘I was delighted to meet so many people at the Care Council for Wales event and have the opportunity to share advice about the importance of regular sight and hearing tests.

‘A sight test does not only detect changes in a person’s vision but can also detect other medical conditions such as cataracts and glaucoma, so the event was a good opportunity to speak to employees about booking regular tests as part of maintaining their general wellbeing.’
