A Canvey Island opticians is calling on residents to help raise vital cash this January to provide hospice care to children and adults in the area.
Specsavers in Canvey Island has pledged to raise funds for nearby Havens Hospices throughout the month after asking the community to nominate a cause close to their hearts.
A word from the store director
Lee Hansford, store director of Specsavers in Canvey Island, said: ‘We wanted to kick off 2015 by giving back to a cause our community feels passionately about. We’re pleased residents nominated Havens Hospices, which have cared for tens of thousands of people in our area for more than three decades, but which rely on the support of the community to raise £100,000 every week to continue to provide their invaluable services. If you’re passing the store, why not take part in our January prize draw and show your support for this worthy cause.’
How to get involved
Tickets for the in-store raffle cost £1 per strip and the draw will be made on January 31st. The prize winner will receive a Harrods teddy bear, panettone, wine and sweet treats.
