Cakes raise nearly £200 for charity
Staff at Specsavers in Carmarthen have raised £200 for Velindre Cancer Care through a charity bake sale.
Members of the team baked a whole table full of brownies, iced cupcakes and other treats to sell on the day, with proceeds going towards supporting and treating patients and their families in Wales who are dealing with cancer.
Angharad Robinson, manager of Specsavers Carmarthen, said: ‘The cake sale was a fantastic success. I’m really pleased by the amount we managed to raise – and by the team’s baking skills!
‘Nearly every single item was sold and I’d like to thank all our customers for their generosity. I’m very pleased to be able to raise such a great amount for this brilliant charity.’
