Specsavers in Burton-on-Trent collected food items for more than 40 hampers, which were donated to the LoveInspire Foundation over the festive period.
The store received donations from customers, local businesses and staff who all contributed to support those in need during December
Optical assistants Meg Wheeler and Thara Saquhlan also put together a quiz book, which they sold to staff, helping to raise more than £70. The team used the donations to buy more food for the charity.
A word from the store director
‘As this is a charity that is local to us, it’s really important to be able to give back to our community,’ said store director, Linda Joyce. ‘We’re so proud to support the charity and we want to say a huge thank you to anyone who made a donation.’
About the LoveInspire Foundation
The LoveInspire Foundation works to provide relief for those who find themselves in a crisis. They also help with debt prevention and planning for the future. As well as relieving poverty, people come back to the charity for weekly meetings as they find it empowering to develop their skills and start recognising there is a way out.
