Specsavers Burton has taken part in a sing-along music video to raise awareness about learning and communication disabilities, as well as fundraise for a new sensory garden at Fountains High School in Stretton.
The team signed along to the song ‘Something Inside so Strong’ by Labi Siffre, as part of an awareness initiative organised by Kelly Tims, whose daughter has autism and attends Fountains High School. The music video forms part of a charity drive to raise £2,000 to build a new sensory garden at the school.
A word from the store director
‘We were delighted to take part in the music video and raise awareness for those living with learning and communication difficulties,’ said store director at Burton Specsavers, Linda Joyce. ‘Kelly is an inspiration and has done an incredible job fundraising for the school. A lot of our staff have donated privately on her JustGiving page, and we’ve also made a £40 donation from the store, helping Kelly reach her final target of £2,000. We really hope the students enjoy their new garden and we cannot wait for it to be built.’
