Specsavers in Burton on Trent celebrated Valentine’s Day by wearing red and hosting a love-themed cake sale which raised £70 for the LoveInspire Foundation.
The store encouraged customers to donate with collection boxes in store as part of the Wear Red for Love initiative. Staff continued to fundraise over the weekend of 14, 15 and 16 February by wearing red and selling cakes to customers.
A word from the store director
‘We’re passionate about supporting the LoveInspire Foundation because they’re a local charity, who work hard to provide support for families who are most in need,’ said Specsavers Burton-on-Trent store director, Linda Joyce. ‘Our customers are always such a great help in raising money, so we want to say a big thank you to everyone for their donations.’
The LoveInspire Foundation works to provide relief for those who find themselves in a crisis. They also help with debt prevention and planning for the future. As well as relieving poverty, people come back to the charity for weekly meetings as they find it empowering to develop their skills and start recognising there is a way out.
