Brownies' safety in the frame
Girls from a local Brownie unit will be seen more clearly this winter, thanks to a donation of high-visibility vests from Specsavers Evesham.
The store donated 100 vests to the Rainbows, Brownies and Guides of Girlguiding Evesham Central District. The giveaway forms part of an initiative to make the roads safer for children in the darker months.
Amy Liau, store director, said: ‘We’re delighted to give these vests to children in the local area, as they really make a difference when they are out and about near roads.’
Elizabeth Bolland MBE, District Assistant Girlguiding Evesham Central District, added: ‘We’re very grateful to Specsavers for kindly donating these vests for our girls to use, as they go out and about very regularly and it’s reassuring to know they will be extra safe and seen.’
