Sweet treats for charity
Specsavers in Brownhills has raised more than £40 for the British Heart Foundation with a Valentine’s-themed cake sale.
The team created an in-store stall and held a cake sale, offering delicious homemade and heart-shaped goodies in return for donations. In addition, they sold heart pins provided by the charity to raise awareness of coronary heart disease.
‘We’re so pleased to have supported the British Heart Foundation and are grateful to all of our customers for their help in raising money for the charity,’ said store director, Justine Page. ‘It was great to raise funds for this important cause while providing delicious treats for our local community.’
Coronary heart disease is the UK’s single biggest killer, but the British Heart Foundation is leading pioneering research to help transform the lives of people living with heart and circulatory conditions. To find out more about the British Heart Foundation, visit www.bhf.org.uk/.
