Bromsgrove Specsavers has collected more than 1,000 pairs of old specs from the local community in aid of international charity, Vision Aid Overseas (VAO).

Donate your old specs

The team at Specsavers on the High Street in Bromsgrove have been busy collecting a huge number of specs, and are continuing to encourage people to donate their old and unwanted glasses to the charity.

'We’re so proud to be able to donate 1,000 pairs of glasses to VAO. It’s an initiative that we have been involved in over the past few years, and one that we will continue to support,’ explained store director Mark Gibson.

‘The work that VAO does is so important for those in developing countries who are affected by poor vision and this is a small way in which we can help. The donated specs are recycled to generate income to support overseas programmes. The team were thrilled when they counted up the total amount, and we’re hoping for even more in the lead up to Christmas – think of it as your one good deed this festive season.’
