Specsavers Sittingbourne has collected an amazing 3,000 pairs of old glasses for charity recently – and are asking their customers to keep bringing them into the store in The Forum.
The haul will be donated to Vision Aid Overseas, who work with communities in the developing world to improve eye care.
A word from the store director
Sharnpal Bains, store director in Sittingbourne, said: ‘We would like to thank our customers for taking the time to bring in their old glasses – 3,000 pairs is an amazing total over a relatively short space of time.
‘Please keep bringing them in as they really do make a massive difference, especially as they would probably end up in the bin otherwise.’
