Children in Renfrewshire will be more visible when they are out and about, thanks to the team at Specsavers Sainsbury's Braehead.

As well as encouraging drivers to have their eyes checked to ensure they are safe to drive, the store donated high-visibility vests to schools and community groups to help make sure children are seen as the days get darker.

Hundreds of vests donated

In the Braehead store, hundreds of hi-vis jackets have been donated to children visiting the store to help keep them safe during the darker, winter nights.

Jane Gottschlich, store director at Specsavers Sainsbury’s Braehead, said: ‘We hope that the jackets that the children visiting the store received are useful when they are out and about, especially in the darker winter months.'
