Bradford opticians pledge to support Teenage Cancer Trust
Opticians in Bradford have pledged to support Jacob’s Ball in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Jacob’s Ball has been created for West Yorkshire born, Jacob Simpson, 17, who was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in 2013. This dress to impress event has been held to raise money for the UK charity Teenage Cancer Trust, which is dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young people with cancer, aged 13 to 24.
The Ball was held at the Mercure Hotel in Nab Wood, Bingley, on Friday 25 April and the team at Specsavers in Darley Street have shown support by providing a fun photo booth so that guests can receive a memorable photo from the night.
Pete Rookes, store director at Darley Street Specsavers comments: ‘We were honoured to have been asked to take part in an evening that will raise vital funds for a worthy charity. The evening was filled with fun and entertainment, including a casino, a live band and a charity auction and raffle, to which we also donated a rare One Direction movie poster.’
