A local sports organisation was bowled over by the support from a nearby opticians, after signing a year-long sponsorship deal with Specsavers Aberdeen.
The store invested a significant figure in the Bon Accord Bowling Association, donating £500 to help fund the organisation’s four league competitions which are split across two separate divisions.
The deal comes as part of Specsavers Union Street’s ongoing investment in the local community. The organisation will benefit from discounted specs as part of the store’s commitment to keeping the bowlers’ eyesight and hearing in good condition.
Established in 1934, the Bon Accord Bowling Association currently has 16 affiliated lawn bowling clubs in Aberdeen city as members. Providing top class bowlers – some of whom have went on to achieve international honours – the association runs the bowling leagues throughout the city.
