Boscombe sees double during charity drive
Specsavers in Boscombe has raised over £700 for Diabetes UK and Guide Dogs UK.
Specsavers, located on Christchurch Road, has been collecting donations for the two charities over the past three months. The store also donated £1 per eye test to Diabetes UK during Diabetes Awareness Week.
Andreas Booth, store director of Specsavers Boscombe said: ‘We’re delighted to have raised so much money for two worthy causes. As one of the largest diabetic screening centres in Dorset, we wanted to do everything we could to raise awareness for Diabetes UK so we were thrilled when we managed to go over our target of raising £300.
We’re a proud supporter of Guide Dogs as well and always invite people to donate in store. I’d like to thank the Boscombe community for their generosity and for helping these charities make a difference.’
