Bognor Regis opticians set sights on lifeguards
Local lifeguards set sail for Specsavers in Bognor Regis after the store raised £375 for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).
Continuing to serve the community
Specsavers, located on London Road, invited members of the charity in store for free eye examinations so they could continue serving their local community with clear vision. The store has been raising money over the past two months for RNLI, which exists to save lives at sea.
Jonathan West, store director of Specsavers Bognor Regis says: ‘The RNLI lifeguard service at Bognor Regis only launched last year, so we were keen to support them and raise awareness of their work by encouraging donations from the community.
Eye examinations for Bognor Regis lifeguards
‘It’s important that lifeguards maintain excellent vision in order to see in poor weather conditions, as well as to be able to identify people out at sea. We welcomed our local lifeguards in store for eye examinations so we could ensure they had a high quality of eyecare to aid their work. We’d like to thank our Bognor Regis community for all of their contributions and invite them to keep donating to help make a difference.’
