Opticians in Blackwood have got on their bikes and completed a 150 mile cycling challenge, raising over £250 as part of the store’s campaign to support Red Nose Day.
Staff at the Specsavers store on High Street took turns to cycle the static bike to cover the distance in an effort to raise donations for the charitable cause.
Funny for money
In the run up to Red Nose Day, staff and customers at the Blackwood store also made their faces funny for money with Specsavers’ official Red Nose Day glasses in small or large sizes, for just £3 with £1 donated to Comic Relief.
Specsavers in Blackwood has joined Specsavers stores nationwide to support Comic Relief to help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa.
Fun working together
Jonathan Evans, store director of Specsavers in Blackwood, said: ‘It was great fun to get behind such a great campaign and get the team working together to complete the challenge, all the while raising much-needed money for Red Nose Day.’
