Specsavers in Blackpool is holding a day of Easter fun for a local group of school children.
The staff from the store on Victoria Street are hosting an Easter fun day for Year 2 pupils from St Johns primary school on March 22.
The children will bring in the Easter bonnets that they’ve prepared in school beforehand, while the Specsavers staff will also show the children their own bonnets that they have created especially for the event.
As well as learning about the importance of regular eye tests, each child is also going to receive an Easter goodie bag filled with information on eye health, Specsavers goodies, Easter treats and vouchers which their parents can spend in store.
Peter McArdle, store director at Specsavers Blackpool, says: ‘We have done this sort of event with the children from St Johns for the last few years, and it’s always a great day in store that the staff members look forward to.
‘In the past the children have come into store to learn more about road safety, and when they come in on March 22 we’ll have the opportunity to remind them how important it is to get their eyes tested which they can then tell their parents about.
It’s always a pleasure to give back to the community in this way, as well as allowing the children to show off their artistic skills with their Easter bonnets – I know our staff members are also excited to show theirs off as well!’
