St Albans Specsavers opticians celebrates 20 years in the community

Store staff invited customers old and new to take part in an all-day 20th anniversary event in August to celebrate two decades in the community. Visitors had the chance to enter a special prize draw, while little ones were able to take home their own birthday presents.

The mayor's visit

The Mayor of St Albans City and District, Councillor Geoff Harrison, who was on-hand to help cut the 20th birthday cake, says: ‘It was a great pleasure to attend the 20th anniversary event. I was very impressed with the whole team and would like to congratulate Specsavers on their strong presence and continued success in St Albans.’

The director

Lewis Carroll, store director of Specsavers in St Albans, says: ‘We celebrated two decades in the heart of St Albans with the mayor and both new and familiar faces in community. I was one of the team members who opened the store here in 1994 so it was a great day for me on a personal level and it couldn’t have gone better. I’m delighted to be an integral part of community and was humbled by the support and attendance.’
