A Bedford opticians has been recognised for developing and nurturing young talent in the community and providing its staff with outstanding career progression.

Specsavers in Bedford, located in the Harpur Centre, beat over 700 other Specsavers stores from across the UK and Ireland to earn the much coveted award for ‘Excellence in People Development and Engagement’. The store was recognised for its continued commitment to providing Bedford residents with career opportunities in the optical sector.

Unrivalled eye care

The store was chosen to receive the award for its hard work in not only providing unrivalled eye care for the community, but also for offering its budding employees bright futures in optics. Team members are nurtured from the moment they join the team as trainees right up to the point that they qualify and push on into management roles.
