In support of the annual initiative, championed by road safety charity Brake and its partners Specsavers and RSA, the Specsavers store in Bedford will be giving the local school children the opportunity to win while showcasing their artistic flair.
To promote this year’s Road Safety Week theme, ‘Look out for each other’, the Specsavers store will be calling on local school children to drop by the store to enter into the competition with their best designs of glasses. The store staff will be judging the competition and will be on the look-out for the most creative and imaginative glasses designs before picking the lucky winner.
Store Director, Matt Stewart says ‘We are very proud to support Road Safety Week and the important message at its heart. We are calling on the local parents and grandparents to encourage their children to get involved in the competition to raise awareness of road safety and win a batch of high visibility jackets.
‘We are determined to ensure the children are clearly visible and safe when using the roads and maybe at the same time we can inspire their artistic talents.’
The store will be taking competition entries until Wednesday 10 December and will be asking for entrants to include their name, their date of birth, a contact number and the name of the school that they attend.
