The Specsavers team in Barry has raised more than £130 for children’s hospice Tŷ Hafan with two days of fancy dress fun.

Encouraging donations

Staff members painted their faces and dressed up as a variety of creatures, great and small, to raise funds for the Welsh children’s hospice.

They also came to work in their pyjamas, and encouraged donations from customers, raising £131.67 in total for Tŷ Hafan.

The hospice provides specialist care for life-limited children and young people across Wales, as well as their families.

Proud to support

Jamie Pullen, director of Specsavers in Barry, said: ‘We’re proud to support Tŷ Hafan in whatever way we can. When the team suggested dress-up days I knew that’d be a great way to get the public involved in supporting a worthwhile cause, while having fun at the same time.

‘We are planning further fundraising activity throughout the year so that we can continue to support a cause that is so close to our hearts.’
