Specsavers in Barking is set to help children to stay safe and visible this winter by making a special donation.

Free vests

Specsavers will be donating high-visibility vests to all young children that come in for an eye test over the next few weeks as part of a road safety initiative organised by Specsavers’ charity partner Brake.

Safe

Mohammed Mohsin Rehmani, store director at Specsavers Barking says: ‘Now that the clocks have changed and the nights are getting darker, we want to make sure that children – and their parents – feel safe when they’re out and about over the next couple of months.

‘By raising awareness during Road Safety Week and by offering the children these vests, we hope that they take extra care on trips and excursions.

Brake

Brake is a national road safety charity which exists to prevent deaths and injuries which happen on roads on a daily basis, through campaigns and other funding. The charity also promotes safe and sustainable road use and effective road safety policies.
