Staff at Specsavers in Lichfield raised more than £100 for Comic Relief on Red Nose Day (Friday 24 March).
The team encouraged customers and passers-by to get involved with the fundraising and support Comic Relief by indulging in a range of sweet treats in exchange for a charitable donation.
Store director Praful Patel said: ‘We had a great day in store and are grateful for the warm response from our local community.
'The team went all out to get dressed up and bake some delicious cakes which went down a treat!’
Visitors were also invited to take part in this year’s Comic Relief theme with the Specsavers’ official Red Nose Day specs by taking a waving selfie and sharing it on social media using the hashtag #giveusawave.
Specsavers in Lichfield joined other stores nationwide to support Comic Relief to help poor and vulnerable people living tough lives both here in the UK and across Africa and raised £475,000 for the charity.
Specsavers has been a Comic Relief partner since 2015.
