The teams at Specsavers Sutton Coldfield and Mere Green raised more than £170 for the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) – Specsavers’ partner charity.
Promoting good eye health
Staff honed their best baking skills and offered customers cakes in return for donations during National Eye Health week (18 – 24 September 2017).
For those seeking a healthier alternative, the store also gave out fresh fruit and vegetables – promoting the link between good nutrition and eye health.
A word from the store director
Tim Goodhew, store director, said: ‘It was great to be involved with National Eye Health Week and to support the RNIB. The fruit was particularly popular which was really encouraging and hopefully we helped spread the message about the importance of a healthy diet.’
