Specsavers staff in Witney dusted off their aprons to host a bake sale in support of Children in Need.

Becoming ‘baking heroes’ as part of this year’s Children in Need theme, staff at the store served up an array of tasty treats for customers, who were asked to make a small donation to the charity. In total, the store raised £340.

Cathy Mullen, store director, said: ‘All of the staff loved getting involved in the bake sale and we’re so pleased to have raised such a fantastic amount of money for Children in Need.

‘We’d just like to say thank you to all of our customers who generously made donations.’

Children in Need supports more than 2,600 projects in the UK to help keep children and young people safe, happy and secure. The projects also aim to empower children and extend their life choices by supporting them in reaching their full potential.
