The team at Specsavers in Ilkley recently hosted a children’s fun day in aid of a community soft play facility.
On Sunday 13 September, visitors to Specsavers in Ilkley enjoyed homemade cakes and goodies in return for a small donation.
Entertainment from a professional
Children’s entertainer Simon Hannah was in-store from 12pm with a range of magic tricks up his sleeve, and also did some balloon modelling.
In return for a donation, the Specsavers staff were on hand to offer face painting over the course of the day.
All proceeds went to Dan’s Den, a not-for-profit indoor play facility housed in the Riddings Hall at Christchurch, The Grove, Ilkley.
A word from the store manager
Suzy Boyd, store manager at Specsavers in Ilkley, said: ‘We all had a great time on Saturday and were thrilled to see lots of friendly faces.
‘It’s a pleasure to be supporting Dan’s Den and the fantastic work the volunteers do to provide a fun, clean, safe and stimulating environment for children to play in.’
