Ayr announces charity fundraising total
The local opticians has raised more than £300 for charities and good causes in the past year.
Specsavers in Ayr held a number of fundraising events in 2016, with proceeds donated to Kidscape, Guide Dogs Scotland, the Poppy Appeal and Cash for Kids.
Supporting worthy causes
Linda Fulton, director of Specsavers in Ayr, said: ‘It is very important to us to support worthy charities and help highlight their great work.
‘I would like to thank our customers for their support last year and our staff for organising some fantastic charity events and look forward to further community initiatives this year.’
Kidscape is an anti-bullying charity which aims to help children live in a safe and nurturing environment.
Guide Dogs Scotland expertly breeds and trains guide dogs to assist blind and partially-sighted people while also campaigning for their rights.
Cash for Kids is Bauer Radio’s campaign to support children who are disabled, disadvantaged or suffering from abuse or neglect.
