Darker nights are beginning to creep in and the store’s eyecare specialists hope that people will take their advice to get their eyes checked and stay safe this season, especially while driving at night.

A word of advice from the store director

Linda Fulton, store director at Specsavers in Ayr, said: ‘It’s important to look after your eyes all year round. With darker nights starting to creep in, it’s the ideal time to check your prescription is up to date.

‘We encourage customers to get their eyes checked at least once every two years, as eye tests not only detect changes in your vision but also underlying health issues. Keeping up to date with health checks is so important, and eye tests are a vital part of this.’
