Specsavers in Lanark is urging locals to take care of their eyes by ensuring their eye checks are up to date as Autumn sets in.

Staff at the Lanark opticians hope that people will take their advice to get their eyes checked to help them stay safe this season, especially while driving at night.

A word of advice from the store director

Rubena Kerr, store director at Specsavers in Lanark, said: ‘It’s vitally important to look after your eyesight all year. There’s no better time to check your prescription is up to date ahead of the darker nights creeping in.

‘We recommend customers have their eyes tested once every two years, as eye checks can not only detect changes in your vision but also underlying health issues. Keeping up to date with health checks is so important, and eye tests are a vital part of this.’
