Eyecare specialists at Specsavers in East Kilbride are encouraging locals to take care of their eyes by ensuring their eye checks are up to date as Autumn begins.

With darker nights beginning to creep in, East Kilbride’s staff hope that people will take their advice to get their eyes checked and stay safe this season, especially while driving at night.

Shirley-Ann Kennedy, store director at Specsavers in East Kilbride, said: ‘It’s important to look after your eyes all year round but ahead of the darker nights is the ideal time to check your prescription is up to date.

‘We encourage customers to have their eyes checked at least once every two years. Eye examinations can not only detect changes in your vision but also underlying health issues which makes them a vital part of maintaining your overall health.’
