Barnstaple Mayor opens Specsavers new hearing hub

Cllr Julie Hunt joined staff and customers to officially open the new hearing hub at the town’s Specsavers store.

Dedicated testing rooms have been created offering audiology services throughout the week and the store has welcomed new audiology director, Frank Holden.

Cllr Mrs Julie Hunt said: ‘The introduction of this new facility is great news for the local community and highlights the importance of keeping a check on your hearing as well as your eye sight. I have been shown how easy it is to get tested and hope that this will raise awareness.’

An opticians in Clydebank is dedicating two days this week to raising awareness of the impact of hearing loss.

Specsavers in the Clyde Shopping Centre is expanding its audiology service to cover customers across Clydebank, Milngavie and Dumbarton.

To mark the development, the store will be hosting audiology events at Specsavers Milngavie on Wednesday 17 January and at Specsavers Dumbarton on Thursday 18 January.

Specsavers Hastings has been awarded a prestigious audiology accreditation

Specsavers Hastings are celebrating after being awarded a prestigious accreditation for their audiology services.

The store, in Priory Meadow Shopping Centre, Queens Road, has been granted Improving Quality in Physiological Services (IQIPS) status.

Professional accreditation

The accreditation recognises excellence, and is designed to improve service quality, care and safety for customers undergoing physiological diagnostics and treatment.

The Specsavers Hearing Centre in Gloucester is collecting unwanted hearing aids for Sound Seekers

Specsavers Hearing Centre in Gloucester is appealing for donations of unwanted hearing aids on behalf of the charity Sound Seekers.

Customers visiting the store are being encouraged to drop off their old hearing aids in the bins available which will then be cleaned, refurbished and distributed to people in Africa.

Specsavers Worthing will offer ear wax removal services from January

Specsavers in Worthing is adding to its wide range of services by offering ear wax removal to customers from 11 January.

The audiology team at Specsavers Worthing are now fully trained to professionally remove excess ear wax, which may be causing discomfort or difficulty hearing.
