Father and son, Martin and Adam Sadler, who are both audiologists at Specsavers Hearing Centre in Wolverhampton, will be putting their best feet forward to raise funds for Action on Hearing Loss in the Birmingham Half Marathon on Sunday 16 October.

They will be joined by another family member, Craig Sadler (Martin’s other son) who is an audiologist at Specsavers Hearing Centre in Kidderminster.

Fundraising day

To help drum up support for the trio, the staff at Specsavers Kidderminster in the Swan Centre are hosting a fundraising day on Saturday 1 October. The team will be donning their finest cycling gear to ride the route in relay fashion on a stationary bike in-store. Customers and passers-by are welcome to pop in, cheer them over the finish line and donate to the cause.

‘We are hoping to raise £515 for Action on Hearing Loss,’ said Martin. ‘They do such important work and offer fantastic support for people with hearing loss, deafness and tinnitus. We would love it if everyone could come down to Kidderminster Specsavers on Saturday 1 October and raise as much money as possible for the cause!’

Action on Hearing Loss

All the money raised will go to Action on Hearing Loss, which is the largest charity in the UK helping people confront deafness and hearing loss. The charity enables people living with hearing loss to take control of their lives and remove the barriers in their way, as well as developing technology and treatments that can better their quality of life.
