Craig Sadler, a hearing audiologist at Specsavers Hearing Centre in the Swan Centre, Kidderminster, is putting his best foot forward to raise funds for Action on Hearing Loss in the Birmingham Half Marathon on Sunday 16 October.
He will be joined by his father, Martin and brother, Adam, who are audiologists at the nearby Specsavers Hearing Centre in Wolverhampton.
To help drum up support for the trio, the staff at Specsavers Kidderminster held a fundraising day on Saturday 1 October. The team donned their finest cycling gear to ride the 13.1 mile route in relay fashion on a stationary bike in-store.
‘We are really looking forward to running for such a worthy cause,’ said Craig. ‘We want to recognise Action on Hearing Loss for all the fantastic support they offer and are hoping to raise £515. So far we have raised £380, all thanks to generous donations from customers and friends. We are hoping to keep the momentum going and reach our target before the day!’
Action on Hearing Loss
All the money raised will go to Action on Hearing Loss, which is the largest charity in the UK helping people confront deafness and hearing loss. The charity enables people living with hearing loss to take control of their lives and remove the barriers in their way, as well as developing technology and treatments that can better their quality of life.
