You recently visited my mother at Thalassa care home. I just wanted to thank you for taking so much effort in assessing her hearing. It was not easy as dealing with a patient with dementia can be frustrating.
We had a couple of days where she felt the aids were a nuisance, but yesterday she was much happier and even engaged in conversation with some of the other ladies.
This is the outcome we were all hoping for, as it will improve her quality of life and perhaps she won’t feel as lonely and isolated. Of course, she still says she can’t hear what I am saying but that’s going to be a hard habit to break!
