Staff at Arnold Specsavers have been knitting special pouches to be sent to Australian wildlife rescue organisation, Wires.

Helping Australian animals
Clinical assistant, Tracy Wardle; contact lens optician, Cathy Goodwin; optical assistant, Lisa Whittemore and call centre administrator, Glen Hughes, all based at the Front Street store, wanted to do what they could to help animals affected by the Australian fires.

The team responded to an appeal from Wires and knitted special pouches needed to keep orphaned and injured animals safe and warm.

A word from the store director
‘We’ve been shocked by the devastation caused to wildlife in Australia following the fires,’ said Specsavers Arnold store director, Vineet Nehra. ‘We’re very proud of the team for using their previously hidden knitting skills to help out in a small way.’
