Specsavers Ryde are helping celebrate 100 years of the charity’s work helping blind ex-Service men and women, by encouraging donations in the store. The store is also dedicating £1 per sight test carried out throughout the week.

Delighted

Specsavers Ryde store director, Tim Kidd said: ‘We’re delighted to be supporting Blind Veterans UK this year. The charity is currently supporting more than 4,000 blind veterans and with our help, they hope to reach their target of recruiting 700 new beneficiaries in the coming year.’

Nick Caplin, Chief Executive of Blind Veterans UK said: ‘We are delighted that Specsavers in Ryde has agreed to raise money during Armed Forces Week to the charity. We hope that the partnership will help us to continue to raise awareness and support for the life changing work of the charity in our centenary year.’
