Eight-year-old Leah Fyfe is celebrating after being crowned winner in a colouring competition run by a local opticians.

The artistic tot was amongst scores of youngsters who entered the competition at Specsavers in Arbroath.

Showcased for all to see

The store invited children up to the age of 11 to colour in film character templates, and all entries were showcased in the window for all to see.

Staff voted for their favourite and felt Leah’s colourful creation stood out and she was awarded a prize of an art set to help hone her talent.

Dispensing consultant Natasha Lamb presented Leah with her prize. ‘All the designs were really fantastic but Leah’s was a firm favourite of the majority of our staff.

‘It was great to welcome her back to the store to collect the art set – she was delighted. We hope Leah gets many hours of enjoyment from the set and inspires her to keep drawing lovely pictures.’
