Staff at the local opticians have raised £190 towards a fundraising campaign for an Arbroath teenager.
Fundraising activities in aid of Euan
Euan Fellows (14) is battling Ewing Sarcoma, a cancer of the bone and soft tissue. The community has rallied to raise the funds needed for him to undergo proton therapy.
Specsavers in Arbroath helped boost the funds by holding a series of activities including a ‘pick a song’ initiative which included a selection of songs from the year Euan was born.
Staff at the store also organised a tombola which featured a variety of prizes donated by local businesses including Heather Crafts, Sparkly Ever After and Cat’s Paws Designs.
Lisa Marshall, store director at Specsavers in Arbroath, said: ‘Euan’s battle is well known in the community and our staff wanted to support him in his goal to receive treatment in the US.
‘We were delighted to welcome Euan to the store to present him with our donation and we will all be following his journey closely.’
