The lure of winning a giant Easter egg helped Spcsavers' Worcester store raise £240 for a local charity.
The team ran a raffle and a children’s colouring competition to raise funds for Acorns Children’s Hospice.
‘We’re delighted to have raised this amount for Acorns, who are our nominated charity – we actually beat last year’s Easter fundraising figure by £100 which is fantastic,’ said store director, Alan Richards.
The winner of the raffle, Andy Lyon and his daughter Tanith took home the giant Easter egg. ‘It seemed very fitting that Andy won the raffle as Tanith has spent some time at Acorns due to her own ill health’ Alan added.
Acorns Children's Hospice is a registered charity offering a network of care for life-limited and terminally ill children and young people, and their families across the heart of England.
