Ten years in business celebration for Ammanford
Specsavers in Ammanford has marked 10 years in business with a day of celebrations and entertainment at its store. Staff decorated the store with balloons and flags and had local performer, Jugglestruck, entertain the crowds with magic tricks and balloon creations.
Considerable growth for store
The opticians on Quay Street was originally opened in 2005 by current store directors, Kevin McCarthy and Sam Hodson, with just eight members of staff.
Throughout the last decade the store has grown considerably, taking the total number of staff to 15.
A high-spec refit in July will see the number of test rooms increase from two to four and will feature a dedicated contact lens area, staff meeting room and a purpose-built laboratory.
Show our appreciation
Kevin McCarthy, store director of Specsavers in Ammanford, said: ‘The celebration was a fantastic way to show our appreciation to our loyal customers and we would like to thank those who came to support us and join in with the festivities.
We are all very proud to have had such a wonderful 10 years trading in Ammanford and, with the upcoming refit in July, we look forward to the next 10 years in business. I am delighted to have been here since the start with Sam, as well as watch members of staff grow with Specsavers.
The planned refurbishment will enable us to provide customers with a better experience and increase our capacity, offering more appointments. We hope our regular customers will benefit from the expansion and that the advancement in technology will draw in new faces.’
