Staff in Specsavers Altrincham have shown that they are the top dogs when it comes to fundraising during Guide Dogs Week, raising £109 for the organisation.
Staff decorated the store for one week, inviting members of the Altrincham community to come join them in working for a good cause. After decorating the store, the staff sold treats and customers gave £1 to guess the name of the plush dog toy.
Guide Dogs Week raises awareness and money for Guide Dogs for the Blind, which goes toward training and taking care of the animals which will eventually be given to help a blind person live their life.
Stephen Kirkham, store manager at Altrincham, said; “Specsavers have been advocates of the Guide Dogs for the Blind charity for years, and we in Altrincham always jump at the chance to do our part. The Altrincham community have always been incredibly forthcoming with their charity, and it is with great pride that we donated this £109 to the organisation.”
