Alloa celebrates a great fundraising total

The staff at Specsavers in Alloa have raised more than £790 for several charities and local causes throughout 2014.

The Opticians located on the High Street, held a number of fundraising drives throughout 2014 which included bakes sales and in-store competitions, with proceeds donated to Blind Veterans UK and Guide Dogs Scotland.

Staff at the store also donated designer specs vouchers as raffle prizes to support several local events including the Round Table Christmas lunch. 

Supporting the local community
Lynne Sangster, retail director of Specsavers Alloa, said: ‘As part of the community in Alloa, it’s massively important to us to give back to the local area.

‘Staff and customers have really enjoyed our fundraising events and it’s very rewarding being able to support such great local causes.

‘I’d like to thank all our customers for helping us to raise such a fantastic figure over the past year and all the staff are looking forward to continuing to support charities and local causes throughout 2015.’
