All eyes on the pupils

23 October, 2014

Children from Wembrook Primary School were in the frame when they visited Specsavers in Nuneaton in September.

Over three days, 90 year one pupils paid the store a visit to learn more about their eyes and vision.  The trips were organised as part of the school’s syllabus around the senses.

‘It’s always great to have the children from Wembrook School in-store,’ says store manager Simon Twells.  ‘Being able to show them things first hand really brings the eyecare element to life and offers us, and the teachers, the perfect opportunity to talk about the importance of good eye health.’

The children got to try on glasses, visit the eye examination room, look at photos taken of the back of the eye (using digital retinal photography) and learn about the dispense of glasses.
