The Filton store has raised £66 for a cancer charity after it invited customers to take part in a summer raffle.
Customers were able to purchase raffle tickets for £1 a strip and the winner walked away with a children’s hamper filled with toys and summer games. The money raised has been donated to CLIC Sargent, a charity which supports young people living with cancer.
A word from the store director
‘We’d like to thank everyone who purchased a raffle ticket in support of this fantastic charity,’ said store director, Gaurav Patel. ‘We have been fundraising for CLIC Sargent for a while. In fact, last year we raised almost £7,000 for the charity as part of a joint fundraising initiative with the Specsavers stores in Bradley Stoke and Cribbs Causeway.’
CLIC Sargent provides practical, financial and emotional support for children and teenagers who have been diagnosed with cancer or leukaemia. The charity believes that children with cancer have the right to the best possible treatment, care and support throughout their cancer journey and beyond.
