Specsavers Droitwich will be attending the St Richard’s Canal Festival over the Bank Holiday weekend with some four-legged friends joining them on Saturday 4 May.
The team from the store will be selling optical accessories and carrying out specs and hearing aid MOTs (cleaning and adjustments) before they are joined by representatives from Guide Dogs who will help raise awareness of eye tests.
A word from the store director
‘This is such an important event to the local community that we were keen to get involved,’ said store director, Emma Singh. ‘It’s sure to be a great day out so please do come down and say hello, we’re looking forward to chatting with people and highlighting the importance of eye tests. We’re also delighted to have Guide Dogs coming along to help us spread the message.’
The St Richard’s Canal Festival celebrates Richard de Wyche who was said to have blessed the Droitwich Spa brine, helping it to flow again when it dried up. The festival includes a host of activities including canal boat displays, live entertainment, markets and a well blessing.
