All eyes on a new store in Longbridge
Specsavers will be opening on the new retail park on Monday 19 December, creating six new full time jobs for local people.
The business will be run by two directors, Declan Casserly and Irfan Aziz, who have nearly 35 years’ optical experience between them. The two opticians are also familiar faces to Specsavers, both working at the Northfield practice.
The brand new store has four test rooms over one floor, including a sound proof room for hearing. Customers will benefit from Digital Precision Eyecare, which ensures everyone receives the very best professional care and advice in frame selection and dispensing for their prescription, vision and lifestyle needs.
The technology allows the optical team to help customers select their glasses following an eye examination. Imaging software on a tablet takes a photo of them wearing the glasses, which in turn captures a range of essential dispensing measurements. These are unique to the customer and their chosen glasses.
The store also has a dedicated contact lens area and a high-tech digital retinal camera that helps with the early detection of conditions like glaucoma, by taking a picture of the back of the eye. Digital retinal photography is offered at no extra cost as part of the standard eye examination service.
A word from the store director
Declan said: ‘Irfan and I are delighted to be launching the new store in Longbridge and are very much looking forward to welcoming customers through the doors. Our aim is that they will see us as the equivalent to their friendly local GP and can be sure of the best possible standards of eyecare and customer service.’
The store will have an official opening ceremony together with a celebratory party day. More details to follow.
